Members of Ibusa Traditional Council have lauded the successful take off of operations at the Asaba International Airport, and urged the state government to rename it Dennis Osadebe International Airport.
The council, represented by Obi Okonkwo, Obi Umerah, Chief Awo Inugonum, Chief Etufunwa and the Uwolo-elect of the community, Chief Charles Okechukwu, made the remark when they visited the airport. They said it will further boost the socio-economic development of the state and the country.
While describing the airport as a landmark achievement of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s administration, the monarchs said renaming it would immortalise Osadebe, whom they described as a politician that contributed meaningfully to the growth of the nation.
