Nigeria Maritime University, NMU, in Warri South West local government area, Delta state, has dismissed as untrue an online report that some staff of the university were set for a showdown with authorities of the school over alleged poor remuneration.

A statement by Registrar of the university, Dr Alfred Mulade , enjoined journalists to double check their information before going to press, adding that as a federal institution all staffers were paid through the Integrated Personal and Payroll Information System, PPIS.
