Vanguard had visited the staff quarters of the university, located at Giri in Gwagwalada Local Government Council for confirmation and follow-up stories on the development but could not find the rescued abductees in the area where they were taken away by the armed bandits.

Upon inquiry on their whereabouts following their release,he was told that they were taken to the hospital by the police for medical examination. The source however, refused to mention the hospital, saying “all I know is that they have been taken to the hospital for medical examination.”

“Since their release, they have not come back. We learnt they are with the police and have been taken to hospital,”a resident of the quarters who pleaded not to be named, told Vanguard.

When approached for confirmation,a private security personnel manning the gate of the quarters, said they were yet to see the rescued victims, declining to talk further.

According to him,”We have been instructed to direct any media person that comes here to meet the university’s public relations officer for any inquiries.”
