PFN, NCPP hold free health screening for men

AS part of the 2011 Fathers’ Day event, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Lagos State chapter, in conjunction with the National Cancer Prevention Programme (NCPP) is organising the maiden edition of Men’s Health Week.

The week with the theme “My Father”: Taking Farther the Welfare of Fathers and Families, opened Sunday June 19, 2011, (Fathers’Day).

Series of activities comprising free cancer/health screening for fathers at 12 locations in Lagos from June 20-27, 2011. A statement from the organisers said the tests are for prostate cancer (PSA), skin cancer, diabetes, HPB, obesity, etc, for men aged 40 and above.

The grand finale of the exercise holds on June 28, 2011, with a time-out with the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola.
