Abuja -The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will conduct a supplementary election in four local government areas and one ward in Imo on May 6, the agency said in a statement.

Mr Abdullahi Kaugama, the Secretary of the Commission, said in a statement in Abuja, Friday, that the affected  areas were Ngor-Okpalla, Mbaitoli, Oguta and Egbema as well as Orji Ward in Owerri North Local Government Area.

“Following the April 26 governorship election in Imo State, which the Returning Officer ruled inconclusive, INEC has scheduled supplementary election to hold in selected areas on May 6.’’

It urged stakeholders to ensure the highest level of integrity and good conduct in the supplementary election for a smooth conclusion of the governorship poll.
