As the Super Eagles get set to lock horns  with Ethiopia, ex-international Yisa Sofoluwe has charged the players to go all out and make the nation proud by defeating their opponent in Abuja.

Disclosing this to  Saturday Vanguard sports, Sofoluwe said this is the time for the players to display  all they have been taught by their coach, stressing that there should be no excuses if they fail .

“The match between Ethiopia and the Super Eagles is not going to be an easy ride. But be that as  it may, with the caliber of players we have, there should be no room for excuse. There are enough players to do the work.

Also for Samson Siasia, the match is going to serve as a  test for him especially  as the coach of the national team. In all I believe they will pick the ticket, which is the most important thing for the team and the country  I wish them all the best,” Sofoluwe said.

Isima confident Eagles will soar

Okey Isima is confident that the Super Eagles will soar over the Ethiopian side  by 3-0 at the Abuja National Stadium.

Expressing this confidence to Saturday Vanguard sports, the former Super Eagles player, believes the match will not pose a problem for the Eagles especially with the caliber of players in the team alongside the confidence  built into the players  by the coach.

Isima  however,  advised them to adhere to their coach’s instruction  as well as follow the game as it comes.
“ I do not see the Super Eagles/Ethiopia tie as a problem.  It is a must  win match. This is a match they should play with less pressure but not to underrate them.

“All they need is to play according to instructions and they will soar over the visitors at the end,” Isima  said.
