Controversy deepened in the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, yesterday over the ticket of Ekiti Central Senatorial  district, following the court order obtained by the incumbent Senator, Mr. Bode Ola, retrieving the ticket from Mr. Babafemi Ojudu.

While Ojudu charged Ola of deceit and fraudulently obtaining the papers used to procure the order, Senator Ola accused party officials of not treating him like a human being.

Ojudu’s name had been forwarded by the ACN to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as the party’s nominee to represent Ekiti Central Senatorial constituency in the April 2 National Assembly elections.

Ola in his own reaction denied the accusation, describing it as an act of blackmail, alleging that he had been seriously ridiculed by the nomination process.

Ojudu in a statement yesterday said: “My attention has been drawn to the purported court order obtained by Bode Ola at an Abuja High Court.  Ola went to court claiming that he was the winner of our party’s primary election in Ekiti Central Senatorial District held in January.
