BENIN – EDO State governor of Edo state, Mr Adams Oshiomhole has explained his fight against godfatherism in the state, saying that the war was aimed at entrenching democratic values in the polity.

Speaking during a rally of the Action Congress of Nigeria at Opoji in Esan Central local Government Area yesterday, the Governor maintained that the best ways to ensure that the will and aspiration of the people prevail was to crush godfatherism.

According to him, within two years, the administration has constructed the Irrua-Ugbegun Road, Igueben-Udo Rroad, Iguehen-Ewohimi- Ewatto- Ohodua Road and the construction of Saint John Bosco College, Ubiaja, Annunciation Catholic College, Irrua as well as the sinking of water borehole at the market square, Ekpoma, all in Edo Central.

The governor who introduced the ACN candidates in the area to the people, said votes for them will enhance the development of the local government area and senatorial district.
