Ilorin – Governorship candidate of Action Congress, ACN, in Kwara State, Dele Belgore has promised to create 10,000 jobs within 100 days in office, if elected.
Belgore spoke weekend in Ilorin at a job/business skills seminar organised for youths in the state.
While noting that this feat was achievable going by his pedigree in life and the blueprint he had developed, the ACN governorship candidate promised to make quality education affordable by every family in the state.
He said the jobs would be created mainly for the unemployed youths.
Belgore said: “A society that does not take care of its youths does not take care of its future,” assuring that his administration would periodically create the jobs so as to stop unemployment.
He promised to slash school fees being paid by students of the Kwara university, saying the fees were too exorbitant.
“The university is for people of the state and our people must be able to afford to send their children to the institution,” he stated.
He promised to introduce scholarship for post graduate courses so that graduates of the state origin who merit the scholarship will be able to go for their post graduate studies on it. He also pledged to introduce a new bursary awards for the undergraduate students .
While stating that this is the time the youths needed to take their destiny in their hands Belgore enjoined them to go out en mass to vote and protect their votes in the April Poll.
He urged them to vote for his party which he said has programmes that would brighten their future.
