AWKA —CHAIRMAN of Anambra State PDP, Chief Emma Nweze, has refuted the sacking of the National Vice Chairman of the party, South East, Chief Olisa Metuh, by a renegade faction of the party in Anambra.

Chief Nweze, who described the sack as laughable and childish, has called on the National Working Committee of the PDP to stop the brigandage as it was destroying PDP in the state.

The so-called Benji Udeozor-led executives, who are falsely glorying in a fake recognition by INEC, would soon find out that both the INEC recognition and the purported sack of Chief Olisa Metuh were a nullity.

He said the recent publications in the newspapers attacking the integrity of Chief Olisa Metuh and suggesting that his name had been expunged from the party’s register had no basis in law. According to him, they are the actions of disgruntled elements who are bitter because Chief Metuh did not allow them to use the party’s machinery to extort money from members as they usually do during election periods.

He said the authentic ward and local government party executives at Otolo Nnewi and Nnewi North have denied ever passing a resolution to sack the National Vice Chairman Zonal, Chief Olisa Metuh, from the party.

He noted that Chief Metuh had single-handedly sponsored the ward financially and could, therefore, not be owing the party.

“We are yet to understand why the National Working Committee and the National Executive Committee of our great party PDP who are abreast of all court orders against both the congress that appointed Benji Udeozor and court orders that nullified the appointment will not decisively deal with these renegades,” he said.
