Nigeria’s position on the FIFA world rankings remained static despite gaining five points in the ratings for the month of January released yesterday.
The Eagles are still rooted to the 32nd position they have perched since July 2010. Egypt kept its first place on the continent, despite dropping a step down in the world ranking. Ghana and Cote d’ Ivoire maint ained their 16th and 21st position in the world rankings and also their places behind Egypt in the African ratings. Nigeria and Algeria are fourth and fifth respectively.
Spain retained its number one position in the world top ten, where Croatia’s toppling of Egypt from the ninth position, was the only movement.

Then after the Eagles will proceed to participate in the Green Soccer Bowl tournament, billed for Dallas, Texas.
The Guatemala game will be prosecuted with predominantly Europe-based players, who will then return to their European clubs while the domestic league players move to Texas for the mini-tournament which kicks off on February 12.
