Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia returns from his vacation to the United States of America on Sunday, in time for  Monday’s opening of the national team camp for the Obama Cup International from February 12-20 at the Green Bowl stadium in USA.
He will also have the opportunity of meeting his two assistant coaches, Salisu Yusuf and Ike Shorunmu.

The Beijing Olympics silver-medal winning gaffer, who was in Europe at the tail end of 2010,  to monitor his players, we were informed, would torch down in Nigeria on Sunday to set off what promises to be another round of Eagles frenzy as players start trickling into town for the Obama Cup.

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Spokesman, Ademola Olajire, told Sports Vanguard that Siasia’s anticipated arrival has already elicited a massive buzz amongst the players, who would be meeting Siasia for the first time, since his appointment  as Eagles coach.

“Of course, the feelers we are getting from the Eagles is that of great expectations from Siasia and they hope to forge a good relationship that would produce great results for the country on the field.

The players are in a frenzy to bring back the good old days”, said Olajire.
Siasia will arrive the country alongside his first assistant coach, Simon Kalika. Nigeria’s next major international match is on March 27, when they tackle Ethiopia in an African Cup Of Nations qualifier
