TWENTY-FOUR hours after he was rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH, the health condition of elder statesman and frontline nationalist, Chief Anthony Eromosele Enahoro, 87, has improved.

There was anxiety, Monday afternoon, when Enahoro reportedly fell into coma necessitating his admission into the intensive care unit of UBTH.

His Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Mr. Wale Okunniyi, said yesterday that the Edo high Chief and leader of Nigerian Progressives  had been under close
medical guidance for some time now due to weakness associated with old age.

He said: “Enahoro’s health is currently stabilising in Benin, Edo State capital,after an initial relapse occasioned by stress and old age.

“Chief Enahoro, accompanied by his eldest son Ken, was rushed to University of Benin Teaching Hospital at about 1.30p.m. on Monday when his health conditions
became critical. He was put under intensive care and close medical observations by his doctors at the UBTH.”
