Nigeria’s Damola Osayomi has been stripped of her gold medal by the Commonwealth Games Federation, after her B sample confirmed a positive test for banned stimulant.

Commonwealth Games Federation sources confirmed last night that Osayomi’s B sample also tested positive to methylhexaneamine and subsequently she has been stripped of the medal.Yesterday Samuel Okon, who also tested positive for methylhexaneamine, did not contest his result.

He  waived his right to have his B Sample tested. He has also been disqualified from the Games and his 110m hurdles result nullified, a statement said.Meanwhile Australian sprinter Sally Pearson, who lost women’s 100m gold to Oludamola, has ridiculed her rival.

Pearson was the original winner of the race but was disqualified for making a false start which led to the passing of the gold medal to the second_placed Osayomi.
“It’’s just a joke you know,” said Pearson.

“I don’t know how you can accept a medal knowing what you’ve done to yourself. But I’m happy I’m out here running drug free.”
