Speaking, Uber General Manager for West Africa, Lola Kassim, says the ad showcases the real benefits of Uber around the city in a locally relevant way.
“When Uber commenced operations in Lagos four years ago, precisely July 23rd 2014 it was in the 4th city in sub-Saharan Africa and was already present in over 140 cities in 40 countries.
Uber is now available in 13 cities in Sub-Sahara Africa and over 600 cities globally in over 75 countries spanning six continents. That’s the kind of expansion aiding urban mobility and bringing movement to cities all around the world.”
Also speaking on the campaign, Margaret Banasko, Country Marketing Lead for Uber in West Africa says: “The key objective of this campaign is to reinforce Uber’s commitment as a collaborative, supportive partner that gets customers to the “last mile” in more ways than one.
Uber supports in moments that matter – whether it’s getting to and fro work, picking up your mom from the bus stop or even having a night out with friends. Uber is at the centre of establishing emotional connections and supporting personal milestones.”
