The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, has congratulated the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, describing his political resilience and leadership as a reflection of the people’s desire for good governance.

Adebutu, in a statement issued on Sunday by his media aide, Afolabi Orekoya, commended Adeleke for what he described as his steadfastness, people-oriented administration and efforts to protect the mandate given to him by the people of Osun State.

According to him, Adeleke’s political experience in Osun State demonstrates that the will of the people can ultimately prevail over political manoeuvring and deceit.

Adebutu said, “I heartily congratulate my brother, Governor Ademola Adeleke, for proving that when the people stand firmly behind a leader, no force can subvert their will.

“His strides in Osun are a testament to what the people really need; good governance and genuine empathy for the masses.”

The PDP chieftain, while using the occasion to comment on the political situation in Ogun State, warned the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) against what he described as growing dissatisfaction among the electorate.

He claimed that the APC was losing its hold on the people of Ogun State, alleging that residents had become increasingly dissatisfied with the performance of the administration.

Adebutu said the people of the state would use their votes to prevent the APC from retaining power.

“Let this also serve as a clear notice to the ruling party here in Ogun State. The APC is a sinking ship in Ogun State,” he said.

“The people have seen through the facade, and I say this with all sense of responsibility: no amount of padding; whether it is the padding of election figures, padding of contracts, or political theatrics can stop the APC from sinking in Ogun State.

“Their days of holding the state backward are numbered.”

Adebutu further reiterated his determination to reclaim what he described as the “stolen mandate” of the people of Ogun State, urging PDP members and supporters to remain committed to the party.

He also prayed for continued wisdom and strength for Governor Adeleke in steering the affairs of Osun State, expressing optimism that the PDP would eventually return to power in Ogun State.
