The youth body of Uwheru kingdom in Ughelli North local government area , Delta state has reiterated its commitment to peace in the kingdom , warning that attempt by some persons to allegedly impose a former youth president in the area could spark crisis.

Secretary of the current youth body , Engr. Obruche Oghenevwede Godstime, said since Mr. Mudiaga Otuogbe led executive assumed office they had given special attention to security issues in collaboration with mainstream security agencies , noting that the effort had brought commendable peace in the area.

He said : “The youth body was duly established by the people of Uwheru, Uwheru development union (UDU) and traditional council.

*And they have helped to minimize crime in the kingdom; when the prime minister of Ehere was kidnapped by Fulani bandits sometime in February, it was the Youth President and his executive with the President General (UDU), and his executive mobilized the kingdom together with the security that led to his rescue .

” The Youth President and his executive together with the President General of UDU and his executive have been in contact with the Nigeria security agencies to remove crime and illicit drug taking from Uwheru Kingdom which the security agent can attest to.”

“The latest conspiracy against the Youth President and his executive is unacceptable and could escalate into a full community crisis in Uwheru Kingdom.”

The statement further urged the chairman of the local government Jaro Egbo not to succumb to pressure from any quarter to identify with an alleged dissolved youth body, urging him to also carry out some projects in the area.
