A digital payments and international remittance platform operating at the intersection of African and global commerce company, Platnova Technologies Limited, has called for stronger collaboration and integrated financial infrastructure across Africa as it took centre stage as a key sponsor at the BusinessDay Fintech Summit 2026.

The summit, organised by BusinessDay Media Limited, in Lagos, brought together regulators, fintech operators, investors, banks and policy leaders to discuss the future of Africa’s digital finance ecosystem under the theme, “The Next Financial Frontier: Intelligence, Infrastructure & Inclusion in Africa’s Digital Money Economy.”

Platnova, which provides cross-border payments, remittance and multi-currency financial solutions, used the platform to reinforce its position as one of the emerging players driving seamless money movement for Africans globally.

Opening the summit, Publisher of BusinessDay, Frank Aigbogun, represented by the Deputy Editor-in-Chief: Innocent Unah, noted that Africa had entered a defining stage in the evolution of financial services where stakeholders must look beyond access and focus on building systems that truly serve people.

Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Stanley Jacob, President of FintechNGR and Group Chief Innovation and Technology Officer at Meristem Securities Group, said the next phase of Africa’s fintech growth would depend on trust, partnerships and the ability to scale responsibly.

Speaking during the panel session titled Beyond Payments: Building Africa’s Interoperable Digital Money Ecosystem, the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Platnova, Amb. Dr. Benjamin Oyemolan, said fragmented systems remain one of the biggest barriers to growth on the continent.
