Oborevwori lauded over special allowance for doctors

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has been lauded for approving a special allowance for medical doctors in the state.

The doctors under the aegis of National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners (NAGGMDP), Delta State Branch, in a statement titled ” a resounding appreciation to a visionary leader”, signed by the Chairman , Dr. Joseph Okwuolisa Iyasele, the Vice Chairman , Dr Ochonogor Michael Onochie, the Secretary, Dr Eravwoke Onomine, Public relations
officer, Dr. Fidelis Chidi and four others expressed profound gratitude to the governor, describing the action as a forward thinking solution to the pressing challenges in the health sector.

The statement reads : “The National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners (NAGGMDP), Delta State Branch, proudly extends its profound gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, for his bold, timely, and visionary approval of the MORE Special Allowance for Doctors.

“This landmark intervention represents a defining moment in the evolution of healthcare delivery in Delta State. It is not only a welfare package but a strategic, forward-thinking solution to the pressing challenge of workforce migration and retention within the health sector.
