A senatorial aspirant for Osun West Senatorial District under the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, Alhaji Waliyulai Adebayo Oladosu has appealed to the party leaders, stakeholders and members to ensure his emergence as the senatorial candidate of the party, maintaining that his candidature would attract more votes to the party in the general elections.

Alhaji Adebayo Oladosu, while speaking with APC stakeholders in his hometown of Iwo, Osun state, said “to replicate the wonderful job of President Bola Tinubu, I’m assuring that if I’m given the APC Osun West senatorial ticket,we shall win”. He said he was in the race to offer quality representation for his people at the National Assembly. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he is a passionate advocate of youth empowerment and community development.

In a bid to achieve his political ambition,the campaign trail of Oladosu Rovet, has intensified itsefforts in the three geopolitical zones of the Senatorial district even as the people of Osun West Senatorial District, have recognised him as a leading contender for the Senatorial seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement jointly signed by Saheed Alebiosu and Ibrahim Adelodun on behalf of his group of supporter, they described Adebayo as a competent and credible figure with the capacity to provide

effective representation at the National Assembly. The supporters noted that Adebayo has continued to gain recognition for his administrative experience, grassroots connection, and commitment to public service.

According to their statement; “in the quest for credible representation and purposeful leadership, Alhaji Waliyullahi Adebayo, popularly known as Rovet, has continued to emerge as a leading and dependable figure whose capacity and track record position him as the most strategic choice for the Osun West Senatorial seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“He is widely recognized for his exceptional blend of administrative capacity, grassroots connection, and unwavering commitment to public service. Rovet is not just a politician by ambition, but a leader

shaped by experience, discipline and a genuine passion for the development of his people. His ability to engage with diverse groups—youths, elders, professionals and traditional institutions— demonstrates his inclusive leadership style and deep understanding of the socio-political dynamics of Osun West.

“One of his most admirable qualities is his consistency in impacting lives even outside the corridors of power. He has continually shown that leadership is about service, not position. Through various initiatives, he has contributed to youth empowerment, community development, and social welfare, earning him the trust and respect of many across the senatorial district.

Meanwhile, during a courtesy visit to the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba AbdulRosheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I, as part of ongoing consultations, Rovet emphasised the importance of traditional institutions in fostering unity and guiding political processes within the district.

Rovet, accompanied by members of his campaign team, said the visit formed part of efforts to engage critical stakeholders and secure broad-based support for his aspiration. He noted that his consultations were aimed at ensuring inclusiveness and carrying all relevant stakeholders along in his senatorial bid.

The meeting, held at the palace of Oluwo in Iwo, was described as cordial, with discussions centred on development, unity, and the future of Iwo in the present political dispensation.

Oba Akanbi, who warmly received the delegation, urged political actors to prioritise peace and development in their engagements, while reiterating the role of traditional rulers as custodians of culture and stability. Rovet’s consultation tour is expected to continue across key communities in Osun West.

Going by more than 90% support he would garner from Iwo his home town, the largest and the headquarters of the Osun West senatorial district and the reasonable support he’ll get from other towns in the senatorial district in view of his humanitarian gestures to them over the years, Rovet is confident of winning the Osun West Senatorial seat for All Progressives Congress APC.

Rovet began his educational journey at Oke-Aluko LSMB Primary School, Ilorin, Kwara State, where he completed his primary education in 1981. He proceeded to Government Day Secondary School, Alore, Ilorin, where he attended Forms 1 to 3 before returning to Iwo to continue his secondary education at St. Anthony Grammar School, Iwo, Osun State, where he completed his studies in 1988.

Driven by a strong passion for science and professional excellence, he gained admission into Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, where he obtained both his National Diploma (ND) and Higher

National Diploma (HND) in Science Laboratory Technology (Chemistry option).

After his academic pursuits, he participated in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme in Edo State, where he served diligently as a laboratory personnel. His outstanding performance earned him retention at his place of primary assignment, where he worked meritoriously for three years before resigning to pursue broader professional and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Alhaji Chief Adebayo’s career reflects vision, resilience, and entrepreneurial excellence. He commenced his professional journey with Zayo International Limited in Jos, an organization affiliated with an international Sigma-Aldrich group of Germany. His dedication and competence saw him rising to the position of Regional Marketing Manager, with operational oversight across Edo, Bayelsa, and Delta States, based in Benin City. After two years of impactful service, he became a Sole Distributor, marking a significant turning point in his business career.

In 2003, he founded Moladex Multilink International Enterprises, laying a solid foundation for his entrepreneurial pursuits. In 2005, he further expanded his business interests by incorporating ROVET

Scientific Nigeria Limited, a company that has grown to become a key player in the scientific and technical sector. He is currently the Director/Chief Executive Officer of Orbital Scientific and Technical Supply Limited, a company specializing in the importation and distribution of technical equipment.
