NRM prepares leaders for 2027 election bid

ABUJA – The National Rescue Movement (NRM) has taken significant steps to strengthen its leadership and organizational capacity ahead of the 2027 general elections, focusing on delivering its manifesto and vision for a new Nigeria.

The party’s National Management Committee (NMC), led by Acting National Chairman Prince (Dr) Chinedu Obi, completed an Executive Master Class at the GOTNI Leadership Centre in Abuja, aimed at repositioning the party for future electoral success.

The training session, anchored by Dr. Linus Okorie, MFR, President and CEO of the GOTNI Leadership Centre, emphasized the importance of continuous learning and effective leadership in the 21st century.

Prince Obi, addressing the media after the event, highlighted the party’s commitment to providing Nigerians with a platform to address their grievances and rescue the nation. He called on passionate Nigerians to join the movement and be part of the historic effort to transform the country.

The NRM’s leadership stressed that the party is mapping out various programmes to better position itself for winning vital elective positions at different levels in future elections.

The Acting National Chairman reiterated that effective leadership requires both learning and unlearning to meet contemporary challenges and expectations.

He explained that the party’s renewed focus on capacity building and leadership development signals its determination to play a significant role in Nigeria’s political landscape.

He said, “It is a new dawn for NRM, as the party is prepared to provide Nigerians the platform to redress their regrets.

“This is one of the various powerful programmes, mapped out by the party leadership to better position the party properly towards winning vital elective positions at different levels in future elections, especially the forthcoming 2027 general election.

“You cannot give what you do not have; effective leadership in the 21st century requires continuous learning and unlearning to meet the challenges and expectations of the century.

“The party is getting ready to rescue our dear country as our name clearly indicates. And we call on more passionate Nigerians who earnestly desire a new Nigeria to come onboard as the train is already on the move.

“Don’t sit on the fence watching as history is made, be part of history by joining this great team so we can rescue our beloved nation together.”
