In the spirit of International Women’s Day 2025, Soledotun Abdulkarim-Yusuf Foundation, SAF, for the Empowerment of Boy-Child, has donated some amount in cheque to Shayofunmi Care Agency to support drug and mental health rehabilitation, vocational training and independent/supported living.
Speaking at the event, which took place in Lagos, weekend, Chairman of SAF, Hajja Soledotun Abdulkarim-Yusuf said: “With the theme, Accelerate Action, I marked this special day by giving back to a cause that aligns with my vision for a better future.
“True empowerment knows no boundaries—it is about creating opportunities, fostering resilience and ensuring that no one is left behind. By taking action today, we build a brighter tomorrow.
“Today, I celebrate the strength, resilience and impact of women around the world—including myself! As a proud member of Lions International and a passionate advocate for boy-child empowerment, I remain committed to taking bold steps toward meaningful change.”
The cheque was received on behalf of the management by the agency’s Manager, Mrs Esther Afolabi; with the support of Ms.Aishat Adeleke (Psychiatric Social Worker) and Mr. Temi Oyeniyi (Psychiatric Social Worker) .
Speaking during the donation, the Manager of the agency, Mrs Esther Afolabi thanked and prayed for the foundation to grow and be able to do more for humanity.
