Adesokan has developed a groundbreaking AI-powered model that monitors real-time social media to detect emergency-related content and efficiently relay critical information to first responders.

Adesokan, who recently completed his PhD in Computer Science at the Missouri State University of Science and Technology in December 2024, achieved this milestone in an impressive two years and four months—setting a new record. His pioneering work comes at a crucial time as the world grapples with an increasing frequency of disasters and other emergencies.

Adesokan has been honored with the prestigious Kummer Doctoral Achievement Award for his outstanding contributions to technology. This accolade is notable as he becomes the first Nigerian, first African, and the first PhD holder from Missouri State University of Science and Technology to receive this honor.
