Pyrates confraternity reaffirms commitment to uphold human rights

Jos – The National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) has reiterated its commitment to uphold human rights and promotes a world where everyone has access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.

The association spoke on the heels of the December, 10 celebration of the World Human Rights Day tagged: “Empowering individuals and communities to forge a better tomorrow: Our rights, our future, right now.”

In a statement, Victor Nsunwara, the Capoon, Dutse Deck said, “Today, we the National Association of Seadogs, Pyrates Confraternity, Plateau State chapter stand united to celebrate International Human Rights Day. On this day, we honour with our walk the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in 1948. This milestone document established the fundamental principles of equality, justice, and dignity for all individuals.

“As we commemorate this day, let us reaffirm our commitment to upholding human rights and promoting a world where: Everyone has access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. All individuals are treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their race, gender, religion, or nationality.

Human rights defenders and activists are protected and empowered to continue their vital work. Let us strive to create a world where human rights are a reality for all, and where everyone can live with dignity, freedom, and equality.”
