…promises exciting season with wins

The management of a new soccer team in Ogun State League category, JustJohn Football Club (JJ FC) has promised to take the club to an enviable height as the club is poised to showcase its bubbling talents.

Announcing this in a press briefing recently at Sango-Otta, Ogun State while unveiling the team members and coaches to the press, the management of the club said that it is high time Nigerians should look inward and harness young raw talents who are scattered all over streets in the country, instead of banking only on established players alone for club formation.
According to the management, JustJohn FC is a young and newly formed team made up of promising raw talents that are ready to conquer their world. It is another privately owned formidable football club after Remo Stars in Ogun State.
Speaking, the founder and chairman of JJ FC, Oyeleye Olanrewaju Johnson said that one thing very unique about the club is that it was a team formed from a scratch.
“It is a club formed from scratch. We started from the grassroots scouting for talents within the regular street footballers in the Sango-Otta neighbourhood. We also saw the raw talents in them and decided to enlist and harmonise them into a club. The move also aligns with our vision and passion for football,” he said.
Speaking further, he noted that with the support of good people, the club will stand strong and win matches to get to the top. “We will not go down. We are poised to roll over the challenges most new clubs encounter. We are prepared and committed to repositioning the young talents to a height.
“There are many football lovers in the country that are looking up to us to succeed. We are fully prepared to whether all the rigours of getting to the top league and that’s what we are promising to do with the new team,” he added.
Also speaking, the co-chairman of the club, Oyeleye Abimbola Justus noted that beyond nurturing the young talents to become superstars, which according to him, is their main goal, there are other incentives which are on the ground to motivate the players.
“We have a full package of incentives for the players. While bringing out the best in them through training, supervision, management input, and winning matches to join the Nigeria national league, we also have in our package, taking them abroad to hone their football career. Thereafter, we expose them to international footballers and connections for a brighter future in their lives. We have connections overseas that will handle selected and well-behaved players who could be engaged in trials and possibly be absorbed to play for foreign clubs.
“We want them to get to the top of their career. We also nurture them in discipline and quality training to reflect our goals and vision for establishing the club,” he said.
Speaking on how the players were sourced., Oyeleye explains; “As a privately owned club, we sourced the players from the grassroots with the intention to build them up. The team coach is a well-known street football handler who is equally a disciplined trainer. The players on the other hand made up of regular street football players. But when we noticed the raw talent in them, we decided to bring them together to form what is known today as JustJohn Football Club.”
