Nasarawa: LP, three others collapse structure for PDP

LAFIA — THE gubernatorial candidates and their political parties in Nasarawa state  have  collapsed their structures  to work  for the major opposition People’s Democratic party  PDP In Nasarawa State.

The political parties and their candidates in an agreement signed in the state wednesday evening said the decision is to work and ensure that the ruling APC government is dislodged to pave the way for the emergence of the opposition PDP in Nasarawa.

Consequently upon the agreement, the governorship  candidate of the Labour party, Joseph Ewuga,   the Action Alliance,  Asha Manga,   National Rescue Movement, NRM, Alh. Musa Sambo and

the  African Renaissance Party,  Alhaji. Muhammed Auwal  all  stepped down to support Dr. David Ombugadu of PDP as Governor of Nasarawa State.

Speaking to journalists shortly after  the  declaration in Danka village,  Lafia local government on behalf of others,   Joseph Ewuga  said the alliance has become necessary to drop  their  ambition for Hon. David Ombugadu of PDP in order to rescue the state from the ruling APC.

The  coalition of the four political parties  urged all  their  supporters across the state to vote for David Ombugadu of the PDP in the governorship election  on Saturday.

According to the  LP Guber candidate, “APC has lost direction, credibility and focus to provide the needed democratic dividends because of the monumental failure”.

He called on all Obidients across the state to support and vote for the PDP, noting that  APC is no longer a party to vote into power.

Speaking at the event,  the former ministers of information, . Labaran Maku who is also the DG campaign council of David Ombugadu commended the decision of the LP and other political parties and their for their foresight to team up to rescue Nasarawa State from the den of the ruling APC.

Maku called on the  residents to support David Umbugadu of the PDP for development, peace and security.
