BENIN— GOVERNOR Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and residents of Evbuotubu in Egor Local Government Area of the state, have disagreed on the state of some roads in the area as the residents claimed that they have been abandoned.

Thousands of residents on Monday barricaded the busy Ekenwan Road for hours causing commotion for motorists as they also threatened to prevent any political party from coming to the area to solicit  votes in coming elections because of the precarious state of their roads and other infrastructure.

However Obaseki, through his Special Adviser on Media and Communication Strategy, Crusoe Osagie, said his administration has not neglected any area as  more roads in the state would be touched when the rains subsides.
