Awka—THE three traditional rulers of Nawfia, Enugwu Ukwu and Enugwu Agidi in Njikoka local government area of Anambra State, which make up the Njikoka 1 constituency have endorsed the second term bid of the member representing the constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr. Timothy Ifediora, in line with the existing rotational agreement in the area.

Although the royal fathers of Enugwu Ukwu and Enugwu Agidi had earlier signed the agreement along with their Presidents’ General and one stakeholder as required, the traditional ruler of Nawfia, Igwe Chujioke Nwankwo said yesterday that the lawmaker had his full support, explaining that he did not sign when others did because he had pending court issue with the President General of his community.

According to him, there is an existing arrangement that the position should be rotating among the three towns for eight years each, adding that since Ifediora had done only one term, the three communities had agreed that he should be allowed to go for a second tenure.

He said: “Honorable Timothy Ifediora has my full support. I want to make it clear that I am in agreement with the other two Igwe in our constituency.
