Adamu Abdullahi now merchant of lies for APC, senators allege
ABUJA—
SENATORS loyal to the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, yesterday, took a swipe at Senator Adamu Abdullahi (APC, Nasarawa West), describing him as a merchant of lies for All Progressives Congress, APC.

Speaker Dogara

This came on a day members of the House of Representatives from APC dismissed Senator Abu Ibrahim’s allegation that the Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, was part of a plot to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari.

Senators Abdullahi Danbaba (Sokoto South) and Isa Hamma Misau (Bauchi Central), who condemned in very strong terms, statements an online medium credited to Adamu Abdullahi (Nasarawa) claiming that the Senate President “merely collated the list of senators he feels are not happy with the party (APC) and announced them as defectors,” however stressed that he was only spewing forth lies unbecoming of an elder.

The two senators in a signed statement, yesterday, stated that Abdullahi thought all Nigerians were dumb by saying names of senators were just announced when in actual fact the concerned senators were individual political leaders in their different constituencies and were present on the floor when their names were read out from a letter signed by all of them.

APC Reps disown Ibrahim on Dogara

Meanwhile, members of the House of Representatives in APC have dismissed Senator Abu Ibrahim’s allegation that the Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, was part of a plot to impeach President Buhari.

The lawmakers told House of Representatives correspondents at a media briefing, yesterday, that the allegation was a figment of Senator Ibrahim’s imagination.

Pledging their unalloyed support to the re-election bid of President Buhari, the members, who converged on the aegis of Parliamentary Support Group, PSG, led by Abdulmumuni Jubril, said Dogara was with them in the movement.

“That’s just his personal opinion. That’s purely a Senate issue,” Jubril said in response to a question.

Recall that Senator Ibrahim, a close ally of President Buhari from Katsina State, had in a chat with journalists in Abuja on Wednesday called for the sacking of the both the speaker and the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, from the APC, saying they couldn’t be trusted any longer.

He had said:   “ Saraki and Dogara should resign today or the APC should send them away. They are no longer APC members.

‘’The only reason why Saraki and Dogara have not left the APC is that they know that if they leave they will lose their seats.
