Police in Israel are now investigating a death threat issued against Nigeria international John Ogu by an extremist group of fans from a rival Israeli club.

A video, which has since gone viral on the internet, showed the masked leader of the ultra group La-Familia dressed in the colours of Israeli club Beitar Jerusalem armed with a gun, before he threatened: “John, we come and we are waiting… You should run away.”
Ogu has enjoyed his best spell in Europe with Hapoel Be’er Sheva, helping them win the Israeli championship back-to-back and featuring in both the UEFA Champions League and Europa League.
