All Progressives Congress, APC, chairmanship candidate for Okpe Local Government Area, Delta State, in Saturday’s council poll, Eric Afe, has called on the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission DSIEC, to provide a level playing ground for all.
Speaking ahead of the election, Afe promised the people of Okpe of quality leadership if elected chairman.
He said “My major agenda is to provide an open government to accommodate every indigene of Okpe local government irrespective of political affiliation in the running and management of the council resources.
While promising to render accounts of the council’s finance regularly, if elected, Afe, noted that “ Okpe is blessed with abundant human and mineral resources. The people of Okpe local government needs someone who will transparently manage the funds of the council, provide employment and empowerment for youths, graduate and the elderly in the area. I have decided to serve my people and to provide their needs, hence they are voting for me and APC on January 6.”
He urged the people of Okpe to come out en-mass to cast their votes for him and APC, while urging DSIEC to conduct a credible, free and fair election in Okpe local government.
