As part of efforts to harness young talents in the art and creative industry, Queensland Academy, Okota is set to host art exhibition on November 18th, 2017 tagged, ‘Catch them young’, at the school premises.

The exhibition, according to the school’s coordinator, Mr Omotosho Afolabi, will be done to mark the school’s 30th anniversary.

He said the exhibition will be an avenue for pupils and students between the ages of six and 15 years to display their own works of flora and fauna motifs on textile, tie and dye, collegiate, still drawing and paintings on chip and done mostly through recycled bottles, corks, and cardboards.

Commending the children and their mentors for coming out with beautiful and creative works, Abayomi said: “Art, which exist in all facets of life, needs that the artists should be encouraged and given continuous mentoring to be outstanding and relevant in this technology-driven world.”
