Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party in Dunukofia Local Government Area yesterday cautioned the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA,  against using the name of the Late Biafran Leader, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu for its electioneering campaign.

The leader of the group and former Chairman, Dunukofia Council Area, Mr. Godwin Ezeh said it amounted to an insult for APGA or any political party to use Ojukwu’s name for election campaigns.

He said: ”Using the name of our late sage is an act of necromancy.

APGA should allow the spirit of Ikemba Nnewi, Eze Igbo  Gburu Gburu to rest in perfect peace. APGA should do their home work well. They should discuss issues and not individuals in their campaigns.”

The stakeholders, who met in Ifitedunu, warned that if APGA failed to stop using the name of Ojukwu, the party would receive the wrath of the late Biafran war lord.

“We have repeatedly told the people of Anambra State that APGA died when Ikemba Nnewi died.

So, anybody using his name for selfish political interest in this November 18 poll is not fair to the late sage, and it is condemnable.

This governorship election is between PDP and others. The election is a work over for the PDP, and I am telling Obiano to start packing his things from the Government House.”
