Buhari’s 2017 N7trn budget needless; has square pegged ministers in round holes  – Dino

Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district in the Nigerian National Assembly, Senator Dino Melaye has taken a swipe at the Buhari-led executive government, maitaining that the president should not be the Minister of petroleum. Senator Melaye who lamented that there are so many square pegs in round holes in the current administration especially as regards some ministers also said that a budget of 7trillion naira presented by Buhari was needless in that Nigeria can only afford and spend just 2 trillion, going by the implementation of the budget so far.

The Speaker of House of Representatives, Mr Yakubu Dogara, says for Nigeria to meet its seafarers need, there is need to establish maritime universities in the country.
Dogara said this on Tuesday at the public hearing on two bills proposing the establishment of the Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta and Maritime University, Oron in Akwa Ibom.
