Nothing’ll stop Obiano from winning, not even attacks from opposition – Obigwe

By Nwafor Sunday

Reacting to an attack on APGA members at a meeting in Nsugbe on Friday by some suspected thugs of the opposition party, the National coordinator APGA Media Warriors Forum, Evang Chinedu Obigwe through a statement issued on Saturday said that nothing will deter or stop Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state from winning the forthcoming election, noting that lies and physical attacks meted on APGA members by opposition parties would not either.

Chief Willie Obiano

“I strongly believe that this condemnable act will not dampen the spirit of the people of the State to re elect Governor Obiano for second term in the forthcoming November 18th election.

According to Obigwe’s statement “I condemn in totality Friday’s attack on APGA members at a meeting in Nsugbe, Tony Nwoye’s home country.

“The reason behind APC resort to violence is because they know that they are going to lose the election. Nwoye is a pathological liar for accusing Governor Obiano of siphoning Anambra local government funds.

“I am not surprised that his supporters are following his footsteps. Birds of the same feather they say flock together.

“He has a well known penchant for lies and betrayal, hence the reason why his supporters are following his footsteps by unleashing violence on APGA members.

On the latest allegation credited to Nwoye against Governor Obiano Obigwe said “there is no truth in it, he made the allegation to paint the Governor black before the electorates.

Obigwe further said that oppositions concocted falsehood against Governor Obiano is a medicine after death, adding that the people of the State has vowed to ensure that no stone will be left unturned towards actualizing the victory of the Governor on November 18th.

“ Tony Nwoye we are talking about insulted the office of the Governor that he seeks to occupy by calling Obiano a thief in a video clip. He equally insulted Igbo’s highly revered traditional rulers and clergies. He will see the repercussion of his actions coming November 18th.”

“Anambrarians will not allow him to go scot free for throwing decorum and caution to the wind in pursuit of his inordinate ambition”, he said.

Obigwe finally wrapped up by praising Governor Obiano for offering automatic employment to 17 NYSC members and said that the gesture will encourage them to put in more of their best in the service of their father land.
