Jalingo—The International Funds for Agricultural Development, IFAD’s Value Chain Development Programme, yesterday, distributed android phones to 50 lead farmers in Taraba State to enhance Agricultural Marketing Information System, AMIS, after a training on AMIS and usage of smart phones to achieve it.

Mr. Irimiya Musa, the State VCDP Programme Coordinator, noted on the occasion that the move was aimed at linking farmers to the global market for enhanced profit.

Musa, who noted that farming was a business, urged farmers to make judicious use of the phones for better profit.

He commended Governor Darius Ishaku for the prompt payment of counterpart fund for the success of the programme in the state.
