Hull City defender Ola Aina is eager to finally make his international debut for Nigeria.
Despite captaining England youth teams in the past, Aina pledged his allegiances to the Nigeria earlier this year, the birth place of his parents. However, despite being called up for the Super Eagles on several occasions, he is still waiting to make his senior international bow.
The fullback has been in fine form this season while on loan at the KCOM Stadium from Chelsea and now he is looking to take that onto the international stage.
Nigeria know a win against Zambia on Saturday will be enough to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Russia next summer and the 20-year-old is keen to be a part of the party.
‘’I am very happy to be here to meet with teammates and also the coach. In the event of me making my debut I am ready,’’ Aina told the Nigerian press.
‘’I’ve been watching Nigeria team for a long time now, it is very different obviously from where I’ve grown up.
“I will be prepared and I will be ready to do my best for the team.’’
