Onitsha Chamber asks candidates to present programmes

By Chimaobi Nwaiwu

The Onitsha Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, ONICCIMA, yesterday called on the candidates of various political parties contesting in the forthcoming November 18, 2017, to start telling the people their programmes and what they should expect from them.

President of ONICCIMA, Mr Donatus Ebubeogu told Vanguard in an interview in his office that the people of the state have been anxiously waiting to hear from them but they have not been forthcoming with their programmes and manifestoes for the people.

According to Mr. Ebubeogu, “the primary elections have come and gone, and the candidates for the parties have all emerged, and the people of the state are expecting them to come and tell them what they have for them but they seem not to be forthcoming with their programmes and manifestoes and the election is almost at hand.”

“We want them to tell us what they have for us so that people can assess them to know the direction they will go, there is no time, election is almost at hand, and we are not seeing them coming to meet the people.”
