Kokarhaye emerges PG of Ibruvwe community

The newly elected President of Ibruvwe Development Union, I.D.U, Kokori inland in Agbon kingdom, Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State, Mr. Wilson Kokarhaye, has promised to work with all stakeholders with a view to attracting more development to the community.

Kokarhaye, who made the promise in his acceptance speech shortly after he was declared winner of the  election held at the community town hall, said his election was a call to service.

Kokarhaye who was blessed by the most elderly man of the community, Pa. Richard Unurhiere, promised to work in line with the  SMART agenda of Governor Ifeanyi  Okowa, government, its agencies like the DESOPADEC, NDDC and others to attract developmental project to the community.

The election which was witnessed by the men of the Nigeria Army 222 Battalion, Agbara-Otor, Nigeria Police Force, Kokori vigilante group, including  representative of Kokori community council of chiefs, was adjudged peaceful, free and fair.

Earlier in his speech,  Chairman of the electoral committee, Mr. Sylvester  Osiebe said that  election was a contest among brothers. Senior Special Adviser to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on political matters, Chief Sosorobia Enakerakpor and  the director of operation, Delta State security committee, Mr. Abraham Obarume,  Chairman of Kokori Community Development Committee, Mr. Emmanuel Ogedegbe,  representative of Ibruvwe youth, Mr. Johnbull Erhijiwo, who also spoke commended the people for the peaceful conduct of the election.

They promised  to give the new President General, Mr. Wilson Kokarhaye all the necessary support for him to succeed in office, expressing optimism that he will give effective leadership to the people.
