The Spirit of Lagos, SoL, during one of the campaigns
LAGOS—In commemoration of its fifth anniversary in Nigeria, Cold Stone Creamery has lined up a series of events to fete its customers, even as it unveiled giveaway and giveback initiative tagged “Take 5 campaign.”
The organisation started business in Nigeria in September 2012 and has since established 23 stores across major cities in the country.
According to a statement, the organisation would be rewarding customers on their online platforms and in stores nationwide with the giveaways which would crown their anniversary week scheduled for September 18 to 24.
Marketing Coordinator, Coldstone Creamery, Ms. Timilehin Lajubutu, said that the theme of the celebration is part of effort put together to ensure customers take five minutes of rest from the hustle and bustle of Lagos.
She said: “With our online competition, customers stand a chance to win ice cream for a year. We are randomly storming our stores nationwide this week and paying for treats of all customers found in our stores at a preannounced time. The month long campaign will be brought to an end with an anniversary party for loyal customers and media influencers slated for the end of September.
“The Take 5 campaign is one that invites Nigerians to literarily take a Five-Minute break away from the hustle and bustle to indulge, to be happy and even to make the world a better place by giving back.”
“Our anniversary campaign stretches throughout the month September with a series of online and offline activities. We already kicked off with our five Nigerian inspired ice creams like Scented Leaf, Orijin Coconut, Chocolate Chilli, Zobo and Suya flavours. This is our way of saying thank you to a country that has shown us so much love, she said.
Marketing Director, Eat’N’Go, Amalia Sebakunzi, said that the brand is passionate about children and would be giving hope and smiles to children in slums in partnership with Slum to School Africa.
“Our passion for children and education birthed the Take 5 for Literacy aspect of the campaign. We are partnering with Slum to School to achieve their target of sending over 300 children from the Makoko and Tarkwa Bay slum to school this year,” Sebakunzi said.
