THE Delta State Government has expressed worry over the high rate of trafficking and violence against Nigerian youths, especially between the ages of 18 and 30.

While many political parties are yet to organise their primaries to elect their flag bearers in the forthcoming Anambra State governorship election, the candidate of the Peoples Progressive Alliance (PPA) for the poll has emerged.

The Principal, Ronik Comprehensive School, Ejigbo, Lagos, Mrs. Victoria Duru, has admonished the 31 graduating students of the school to go for high achievements in life. Speaking during the 20th Valedictory and Award Ceremony, the Principal said only the best was good as product of the school, having received the best academic training in a very conducive learning environment.

Enugu State Government has discovered and weeded out 6,280 ghost workers and pensioners from the nominal rolls of local governments councils and its Pensions Board. Part of the discovery was a fallout of the committee that recently disbursed the first tranche of the Paris Club Refund, which was used to offset all the outstanding salaries and some pensions of local government workers and retirees respectively, totaling 3,462 ghost pensioners.
