Aim high, principal tells graduands

The Principal, Ronik Comprehensive School, Ejigbo, Lagos, Mrs. Victoria Duru, has admonished the 31 graduating students of the school  to go for high achievements in life. Speaking during the 20th Valedictory and Award Ceremony, the Principal said only the best  was good as product of the school, having received the best academic training in a very conducive learning environment.

“Do not be satisfied with ordinary attainments; aim high and focus on getting to the topmost level of your endeavor. Dare to be all you can be. Dare to go the extra mile to get the best possible,” the Principal told the graduands. She added that it  was time for the students to take responsibility for the glorious future they could  see just as she noted that the graduating students could no longer hold their parents or teachers responsible for their lives.

She disclosed that the school was optimistic that the graduating students will excel in tertiary institutions  as the result of the University Matriculation Examination (UME) already indicated that they had  high grades.  Mrs. Duru commended the graduands for their exemplary conduct and academic attainments.  The chairman of the occasion, Engineer Segun Osibodu, recounted his childhood experiences and used that to encourage the students to embrace hard work.

The ceremony featured prize giving to those students who did well in affective, cognitive and psychomotor domains of learning. Dignitaries at the occasion  include Dr. Gideon Oyinloye, a member of the Board of Ronik Group of Schools, Mrs. Christiana Atanda, also a Board member, Mrs. Rachael Alabi, Proprietress,  and Mrs. Judianah Atoye, Rector, Ronik Polytechnic.
