“What consumers need to understand is that “QLED” is simply an LCD TV inserted with a Quantum Dot sheet which is the same structure as the 2016 SUHD TV. It is better described as part and parcel of the LED evolutionary technological trend which automatically qualifies it as one of the many TVs competing for LCD revolutionary technologies. This obviously places it in a class of its own”, he added.
However, it is important to note that LG OLED TVs uses lighting technology which automatically qualifies it as 4K; this obviously this is a Premium TVs from LG which supports multiple HDR formats experience, with Dolby vision that can deliver cinematic HDR10 experience. This has clearly placed it ahead of other competing brands in the industry.
