Buhari in Katsina for Sallah celebration

KATSINA – President Muhammadu Buhari has on Wednesday arrived Katsina on his way to Daura, his hometown for the Eid-el-Kabir sallah celebration.

PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI WAVES AS HE DEPARTS THE UMARU MUSA YAR’ADUA AIRPORT, KATSINA ON THURSDAY (24/9/15) FOR NEW YORK TO ATTEND THE 70TH SESSION OF THE UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

Buhari landed in the Nigerian Air Force Presidential jet 5N-FGT at about 4pm at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua international airport in Katsina state.

He was received at the airport by the state Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, other top government officials, Emirs of Katsina, Dr. Abdulmumini Kabir Usman and his counterpart from Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruq.

President Buhari after the airport ceremonies proceeded to the helipad area of the airport where he boarded a helicopter to Daura, his hometown and where he is expected to spend the Sallah break.

The President’s arrival for the Sallah festivity was the first since his return from the medical vacation trip to the United Kingdom.
