The leadership and members of Urhobo Political Vision, UPV, led by Mr. Kingsley Agaya, have commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and the state Commissioner for Works, Chief James Aguoye, for the overall infrastructural development of the state.
Agaya, who spoke on behalf of the group during its meeting at Effurun, Delta State, expressed satisfaction with the overall performance of the governor through his prosperity for all Deltans Programme as enshrined in the SMART Agenda.
He added that Governor Okowa has succeeded in empowering many youths through the youth agricultural programme, saying “ any moment from now, unemployed graduates will soon be employed by the Delta State Government.“
The group also disclosed that if the current tempo of performance is sustained we will be the first to ask to run for second term. In 2019′.
The group also lauded the Commissioner for Works in the area of construction of roads across the state.
Despite the economic recession, Governor Okowa through the Commissioner for Works, Chief James Aguoye, has put in place machinery to commission about 500kilometres of roads across the State.’
Comrade Agaya also appealed to Governor Okowa to set up a security team to work with the commissioner of police to tackle the issue of herdsmen menace in the state.
