Zamfara govt to upgrade 147 hospitals

The Zamfara Government says it will upgrade one hospital in each of the 147 wards across the state as part of its commitment to improving primary healthcare delivery.

Alhaji Yusuf Mafara, Executive Secretary, Zamfara Primary Health-care Board, who made this known in an interview in Gusau, said that the project was part of the board’s plan to provide modern primary healthcare facilities in rural communities across the state.

Apart from the hospital renovation, Mafara said that the board organised a stakeholders’ round-table on polio eradication in collaboration with UNICEF, Tuesday, in Gusau.
