Globacom’s support for the OneLagos Fiesta for the second straight year has earned the commendation of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State.

The state government said in a letter by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Jamiu Ashimi, that it appreciated the telecom company for lending its support to the innovative programme.

It said: “We are happy to report, based on the feedback received so far, that the fiesta has been a remarkable success with wide acceptance amongst the populace. The fiesta also attracted visitors from neighbouring states and countries.”

It expressed the hope that Globacom would continue to be a leader in the nation’s telecommunications space, adding “once again, we thank you immensely for believing in this programme and getting involved with your time and resources and we hope the programme will continue to offer you the platform to amplify, brand and leverage on subsequent editions to the fullest.”
