MTN Nigeria’s Head of Human Resources and Corporate Services, Mrs Amina Oyagbola, has left the services of MTN Nigeria.
Vanguard gathered that Oyagbola, who put in a record 12 years of service in the company, yesterday, voluntarily put in the papers to retire from the company.
She was generally known as the Y’ello lady among her colleagues because of her practice of associating with the brand by wearing yellow clothing and accessories for all public appearances.
She joined MTN in 2004 as Corporate Services Executive and was the pioneer Director of the MTN Foundation.
Officials of MTN Nigeria said that Oyagbola added significant value to the organisation through a number of key roles.
“In 2008, she was appointed Human Resources Executive. During her tenure, MTN became the first company in Nigeria accredited with the Investors in People (IIP) Gold Standard, and was named the best telecoms company in Jobberman’s best 100 best places to work in Nigeria in 2014.
She was also credited to have provided deep insight on strategy and governance as a Director on the boards of MTN Benin (Spacetel) and Visafone as well as the chairman of MTN Audit and Risk Committee.
