NO fewer than 2,500 residents of Owa-Alero and other communities in Owa Kingdom, Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State, have benefitted from the free medical programme organised by Isioma Okobah Foundation in conjunction with medical students from the Georgia State University, Atlanta Georgia, in the United States of America.
The beneficiaries of the programme are mostly the elderly, including men and women, pregnant women, youths and children and most of them were diagnosed with common ailments such as pains, diabetes, general body weakness, high blood pressure, sleeplessness and visual challenges.
They were examined and presented medications and glasses free of charge.
Earlier, the founder of the Isioma Okobah Foundation, Dr. Isioma Okobah, intimated the beneficiaries that the free medical programme was designed to improve their health conditions.
She admonished them to take issues relating to their health seriously, saying that health is wealth.
