LIBERTY Family Multiservices Limited has launched its financial and economic empowerment initiative- My Liberty Family to help Nigerian cushion the effect of the current economic recession..
Addressing a press conference ahead of official take-off of the online platform, the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Francis Ben-Adesokan, said the organization was born out of the need to empower Nigerians especially in the face of the current economic downturn.
Explaining the uniqueness of the scheme, he said unlike most multi-level marketing schemes, it is not a get-rich-quick scheme, neither does it coerce people to introduce members before they can get returns on their financial investment.
“We are not selling any product. It works like thrift (ajo as Yorubas call it). We are more concerned in helping you invest right and we also educate and guide you on how you can invest your money into various businesses be it agriculture, fishery, farming or whatever venture. We have a list of skilled professionals to put you through it.”
Furthermore, “As a pastor, I counsel with people. I see people unable to pay house rent and meet other basic needs, so I began to think of how we can create opportunities of financial investment rather than giving them money or insisting they should sell products before they can make gains,” he said.
In My Liberty Family (MLF), anyone can become a member by joining three platforms. The A-Platform, which requires a member to register with N25,000, the B-Platform, N37,000 and the C-Platform with N47,000.
In any of these platforms, a member is guaranteed to get financial returns on his or her investment within a certain period.
